The Master and the process

"It’s impossible”, said pride. “It’s risky”, said experience. “It’s pointless”, said reason. “Give it a try”, said ambition."

These were just some of the thoughts that went through our mind before finding the legendary Master carvers and sculptors.

Six months of research and a 3 hr drive into North East Bali driving through rural villages and jungle dirt roads to find the Balinese artists Darma and Nyoman with their team of apprentices that are now part of our artisan community across the island creating hand sculpted pieces of wearable art.

Symbols, totems, talismans. What resonates with you? Do you believe that jewellery empowers?

Each year since 2009 we have created a timeless animal mascot, one that resonates with where we are in that moment which becomes part of our Iconic collections.
The elephant, Gajah in Indonesian or Ganesha in India has carried us through and she’s here to stay.
Though we are not Hindu she represents the remover of obstacles, the patron of the arts and sciences as well as the “deva” (shining one in Sanskrit) of intellect and wisdom.
